Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone that isn’t confident in Microsoft because in this generation, this is one of the requirements for a lot of internships and jobs. Also being able to have these skills will make you more valuable to employers.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was being able to understand how excel works because I was never good at using it and never understood it. But after learning about it and how the formulas work, it has helped me in other classes that needed me to use it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My best advice for you is to practice and practice because if you don’t, the formulas in excel will be hard to remember. Also make sure you do all the homework because it will benefit you for the tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is absolutely necessary for college survival. The class is headed by Dr Lori Mueller, who offers her guidance and provides an amazing learning enviroment. The course is called Intro to Microcomputer Applications, where you learn fundamentals of Windows programs like Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and more. Enjoy!

    Course highlights:

I learned from start to finish about Windows, or more directly Microsoft programs I have worked on for years. Excel, Word, Power point and more. I just knew how to use them before I started and now I know what they were created for, and can ease through the programs more efficiently.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to learn, it comes quick but it's fun!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Every day is an in-class project that she guides, then answers individual questions afterwards. Also, YouTube videos are available if you need additional help or are just too shy to ask her for help. You MUST have access to Microsoft Office for this course! She seems generally concerned with the individual learning process, and was VERY helpful when I had to miss class due to my father's death.

    Course highlights:

I became more efficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel (and by that, I mean that I learned tricks and tips from Word and PowerPoint, and I learned how to use Access and Excel at least a little bit.) For the final, she allowed us to make up one assignment or test that we had done poorly on. If there wasn't anything you wanted to make up, you didn't need to even attend the final time. She also offered the opportunity to complete the Microsoft Office Efficiency test.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely take this course with this instructor! I've heard friends that had the same course but a different professor talk about it and they HATED it. I had no quarrels whatsoever with going to class. Also, if you close your eyes, she sounds a little bit like Roseanne. ;)
