    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I do not recommend taking this English class with this student teacher. She was very confused about a lot of the course material. Ms. Sharmin also had a lot of grammatical errors, which would not usually bother me if she was not an English teacher.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about citing my sources in this class. In text citations were the biggest thing I learned in EN100. I also learned how to create my own writing style, which I am very fond of now.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise any student taking this course to pay attention in class. EN100 is the basic of all college English classes, so it is very smart to attend this class regularly.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I have always had a strong love for English, so when I received the opportunity to take this course as a junior in high school, I hate to take it! It was invigorating for me at times, but she always reassured me that everything would turn out alright if I just tried my hardest.

    Course highlights:

One of the things that I gained from this course that I feel is most important, is the ability to write descriptive papers as well as papers of great length. From the start, she was ready to give us tips as to how to give length to your paper as well as how to "show instead of tell".

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering this course than the one piece of advice that I have for you would be that you always need to be ready to write. At randoms points in time we would be requested to get out a piece of paper to either write down notes or a short essay on a topic that we were learning about.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a good transition from high school to college. It is a hard course for someone who is not the best at English but very plausible.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write reflective, observation, and informative essays. I also how to self evaluate on my essays.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you really try in this class and do not put off the work until last minute.
