Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Music theory is a beautiful course to take. You learn the fundamental structures of music and how they create and resolve tension. Even though it is 18th century music theory, many of the concepts can be applied to modern music styles or help give you a better understanding of why what you're playing sounds how it does.

    Course highlights:

For me, the highlights of this course were learning the foundations of melodic and harmonic structures and guidelines. Also learning about intervals and how chords are built was phenomenal in expanding my musical view and capability.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you practice what you struggle with. Everything will build off of itself and almost the entire course will need to be decently mastered to move further into the music realm.

He keeps the class at a high energy and focused on the goal of understanding music theory.

    Course highlights:

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Flash cards are key to anything. Especically music theory if you have never studied it before.
