    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course was okay, I think that I would have gotten more out of it had it been taught differently. He is a good teacher, but his teaching style wasn't for me.

    Course highlights:

It was interesting to learn about different psychological disorders and how they differ from each other.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book, usually he has us do power points for each chapter, they're easy points. He does occasionally do ten-twelve page papers in APA style though, that was the hardest thing.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The intricate workings of the brain are extremely interesting and learning to understand these workings is truly awesome! This course is so fun and extremely interesting. I had never realized how complicated our brains are and the explanations behind how we act and process things. This course goes into depth of what we think, how we think and just how important understanding these processes is for our life. Psychology isn't just how messages move through our brains, psychology tells you how they move, what they're saying, how to manipulate them, how to read them and psychology tells you everything and more to understand just what is going through someone's head.

    Course highlights:

The most interesting parts of this course in my opinion are the chapters over disorders, drug use and how the brain is manipulated to train. Seeing how disorders are formed in the brain, chemical imbalances, the wrong messages being sent and all other ways that these develop intrigue me. Psychology also goes into depth about what really happens to the brain and people's personalities when they do drugs or partake in these things. Seeing the changes in the brain messages really shows the dangers of drug use and also the interesting way of how they work. The topic of using the brain to train was very dominantly talking about the training of animals. How they use negative reinforcement, positive reinforcement and key words to train and mold the mind of dogs and other animals to recognize and respond to commands. It's truly amazing how someone focused on the brain enough to realize how to manipulate it.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the book a lot, Psychology is all about the information, the facts, the statistics. Psychology is a class based more off of curriculum than hands on learning. Going through all the activities, as silly as some may seem, will really affect your understanding of the subject. Working hard helps in almost any class that you will ever take, but working hard in psychology is absolutely crucial to your understanding and take away from this class. I suggest that you study, really get into the material and focus on what you're learning. It seems tedious but it is worth it for all of the information you are getting out of it.
