    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was one that I felt comfortable in because I like creating art to relieve stress. This course takes the time to inform the teacher candidate of the different forms and elements of art and how they can be used to teach elementary students. In this class you are encouraged to use art in many ways that will engage students and bring out their creative side. Try to have a balance of college grade work but keep it simple enough for a 3rd grader to understand.

    Course highlights:

I like the laid back element of the course. Though I can't say you won't have homework, you won't have a college grade melt down over it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't allow the "easiness" of the course cause you to be lazy or lose focus. the course is here to inform you not just another easy A

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

For one, the course is a requirement if you are an elementary education major. Nonetheless it was a very fun class. It is nice to be able to relax in a class and show creativity. The teacher guides you throughout the class and shows you what is expected. The class wasn't perfect and was difficult at times but overall looking back I appreciated it.

    Course highlights:

In this class there were many little and big things to be learned. Of course we learned different art activities that can be used in our own classrooms in the future. It was nice to see practical ways we can incorporate art into the core classes. We also learned some very vital information. There are programs that can be used to help teachers implement art into their lessons and we became very well versed in them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this course I seriously advise you to not stress over it. The teacher purposely designed the class for the students to be relaxed while learning good information. Sometimes we can get worked up over classes but this is not one of them. Things may get tough but just ask for help and move on.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

For an education major, you have no choice but to take this course. I would recommend another teacher if that is an option.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course included the friends that I made. The course was tedious and we all had to stick together to pass. I learned that teamwork allows for success.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The teacher for this course is very hard to deal with. He is the only teacher for this course, so you have no choice but to take him. My advice is that you should not argue or disagree with him in class. Always privately ask questions during his office hours. Continue to go to him for everything and become his best friend.
