    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this course has an incredible workload, it really opens your eyes to the different aspects of Biology. I have a greater appreciation for the world around me.

    Course highlights:

You will learn everything from the inner workings of a plant to specific Phylums of the Kingdom Animalia. I have been able to connect at least one thing from my daily life to what I learned in this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study. Your professor is there to help you; go to their office hours. Try your best to go to open lab at least once a week.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Bergey is a great teacher. She is thorough and kind, and is willing to spend extra time to help you if you ask her. She is passionate about her subject. Also, this is a required course for a Bio major. My tip is to study throughout. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE. There is too much information to cover.

    Course highlights:

I gained an understanding of taxonomy and animals and plants. I also learned how to use deductive reasoning to remember phylogenies.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Use tables to compare and contrast. Map out trees. Keep up on your reading.
