    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course has by far been the most challenging course I have ever taken. However if you love biology as much as I do, I recommend it. It is chalk full of all kinds of knowledge and covers everything from micro organisms to vertebrates.

    Course highlights:

The highlight for me was definitely the pig dissection at the end. I also loved learned how basically we evolved from the smallest of plankton to what were are now as mammals. You trace the entire lineage and though it can be tedious it's really cool to have that whole picture laid out before you.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you have Hooper and want to survive this class, study every day you possibly can. Even if it's only 30 minutes. You are getting a lot, A LOT , of information thrown at you in very little time. I would also not recommend taking other really hard classes with this one. Make sure you stay on top of the work and start studying for the tests at the very least a full week before. Write down all important dates and stay on top of your work. Also definitely read and highlight the lab guides before going to lab.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this course has an incredible workload, it really opens your eyes to the different aspects of Biology. I have a greater appreciation for the world around me.

    Course highlights:

You will learn everything from the inner workings of a plant to specific Phylums of the Kingdom Animalia. I have been able to connect at least one thing from my daily life to what I learned in this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study. Your professor is there to help you; go to their office hours. Try your best to go to open lab at least once a week.
