Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives students an opportunity to learn about communication skills with people of contrasting culture or personality. Communication is a vital skill that all people must have mastered to be successful in interaction. The class encompasses many interesting and valuable lessons, my only drawback is that Doctor Price is fairly bland, and lacks in putting personality into his teaching.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of the course include: advertisement methods, handling stage fright, and body language skills. I found the advertising section interesting because you can learn about how companies use psychology to manipulate an audience. This includes ideas of "sex sells," and using specific colors to lure in a customer. Stage fright is also a concerning manner for many people, this class offers a chance to determine the cause of your nervousness, and also gives many options for handling it. Lastly, body language is a large section of this class. Body language is a very fulfilling thing to learn about in college because it can be applied to all of your relationships. Many times peoples hands say more than their words. Learning how to read people without listening to their voice is a vital part of communication.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

When you take this course be sure to purchase the book, it is not one you can suffice without. Also, I strongly recommend learning all of the vocabulary in the chapters because that is the basis of the entire class.
