Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love Professor Murphy, he is understanding and tells you exactly what he expects. He can be dry at times but there is often lively debate over the various topics discussed in class (abortion, affirmative action, ethics of porn ect). It is an environment that promotes academic discussion and debate between those who disagree on these topics, which I love.

    Course highlights:

I learned that there a various principles and precedents that relate to each discussed issue that must be taken into consideration when forming an informed opinion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading he assigns as they will help you in both discussion and paper writing. Show up to class, he does grade participation.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was very interesting. My professor kept my attention most of the time however, there were sometimes when lectures did get a little boring. I really liked the concepts we studied.

    Course highlights:

I really liked learning about the different theoretical perspectives of ethics. For our last paper, we had to create our own theoretical perspective so that was really interesting. Also, we watched two movies in class that were very thought-provoking.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

She gives out pop quizzes sometimes so I guess just be prepared that that will happen. Make flashcards. Quizlet is great for that. The tests aren't too difficult as long as you study in advance and I don't mean the night before.
