    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who is wanting to go into a science degree or anyone who simply loves chemistry. This course was extremely fun with many labs and occasionally an explosion or two.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the labs. In on particular lab we had to find how many calories are in a certain food. We did this by finding the mass of the food, then burning the food such as chocolate and and then finding the mass and doing calculations to figure out how much calories were burnt. Plus we got to eat the food afterwords.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The advise I would give students considering this course would be not to procrastinate and study at home. There are many labs in the class and if a student doesn't understand what the material is and how it works with the lab then the lab is pointless and the student is learning nothing. However if a student take their time they can understand the concepts and have more fun in the labs.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Carter is very involved and answers questions very straight forward

    Course highlights:

Learned a lot about chemistry in the experiments we did. It's good to get a better understanding of things going on in lecture by solidifying the info in lab.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the lab reports as soon as possible. Don't wait until the night before lab.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course to anyone that is looking into a health profession. The course is detailed and lab is very interesting.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me was lab. If you more of a hands on type of person like me, you will love it. I learned how to crested different compounds and see different reacts with the chemcials we used

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advise would be to make sure you're asking questions. Science courses can be difficult but working closely with your professors and peers helps a lot.
