Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a good preparatory science class that will act as a preliminary weed out class and should be something you should excel in if you want to further a career in biology.

    Course highlights:

Fundamental studies in biology emphasizing the unity and diversity of life. Topics include prokaryotes, fungi, invertebrate-vertebrate zoology and phylogeny, human evolution, plant structure and development, animal development and physiology, ecology (population and ecosystems).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class everyday. Print out his slides and take notes on them during class. Pre-read each section before class starts. Pay attention to things he highlights or repeats during class, they will most likely be on the tests. Write out each of his chapter study guides, review old tests, go back to the back or his office for further clarification on topics and don't be afraid to ask questions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a required class for Biology majors. Great teacher.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about all the different phylum of all plants animals and fungus.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do some light reading of the unit beforehand. Print out notes, don't take them by hand, this wastes time.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course. The professor is very nice, and knowledgeable. He is most definitely a professor that cares about your success. This course can be rigorous but there are tools set in place that will help you succeed.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would be the immune system. I loved learning the ins and outs of this process, along with learning about bacteria and how it coexists in our lives.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to use all of your resources. There are SI sessions, MAST, and office hours. So if you're confused about anything you can go to these places. For studying I recommend using the study companions and the practice exams. With all of these tools you're on the road to success!
