    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

There is an abundance of information that we don't know about our surroundings or our Earth that I think we should know and this class really zooms in on all of that knowledge.

    Course highlights:

I am still participating in this course, but so far I enjoy the chapter we are on now. The chapter we are learning now is about plants and how they grow and their reproductive system. I discovered that I am very intrigued by the anatomy of a flower or plant.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to a student going into Bio 109 would be to learn how you study and to study over time. Because with Bio 109 you can not wait till the last minute to study for a test, there is just so much information it isn't possible.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is very resourceful and helps out where he can. He also provides a SI, supplemental instructor, who of course is under the professor through certification/completion of his class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me were student participation. When we engage he excitedly engages back which makes learning tough concepts easier.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Dr. Benevides is an interesting guy for sure. We cover several chapters in class so I recommend any note taking gadgets.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend, because the professor focuses on big ideas and concepts, rather than the nitty-gritty details. It makes studying for this class easier, in my experience.

    Course highlights:

The most interesting, yet most difficult section was about the nervous system.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise that you truly study new material as soon as you learn it. Do this so that you are not cramming(it's alot of material) right before a major test.
