Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Enthusiastic teacher for a dry subject.

Seems interested in the students' understanding.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Past tests are a clear indicator of future tests, though they get harder year over year.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class challenged all my preconceived notions about myself and others. I learned to feel uncomfortable and let go of staying "emotionally safe" when discussing highly complex social justice issues.

    Course highlights:

Prof. Shabsin is a masterful inter-group dialog facilitator as well as lecturer. I came here to learn in what ways I am a "racist", a "class-ist", a "sexist" an "ageist" and however else privilege has blinded me to inequality. This class delivered. I see the whole world differently from nearly every lens, and it is exhausting. I am still gaining insights from class upon reflection, as I am sure there are many more to come in the future.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Follow the directions on every assignment sheet. As long as you deliver on each component of the rubric and think critically about what your topic is, you will succeed. There are many readings, and you don't have to read all of them to succeed, but they are carefully curated choice readings that are extremely enriching.
