    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Introduction to the physics major prepares its students for the coming years of physics study while building relationships between the professors and students they will find themselves working with over the next four years. Students develop a familiarity with skills and programs they will need in the coming years. Without this course, incoming physics majors would be going into their future blind.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to use MATlab, conduct research, present information to a class, gather information from scientific articles, and develop an elevator speech.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do the assigned reading and prepare for the in-class discussions. Definitely study for the final because it takes more preparation than one would anticipate.
