Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is the best English teacher I have ever had. She is very helpful and flexible depending on your needs. She is not just there to make your write papers and do pointless work. She really invest herself into your success! Favorite teacher at South!

    Course highlights:

Professor Lang gave me the confidence I needed to become a great writer. She was honestly and fair to all students. She really puts her students first.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take Professor Lang! She will make sure you succeed! She expects you to put in the work but she also give you the encouragement and instructions to help you get there! "You get out what you put in!" -ML

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I thoroughly enjoyed Lisa Roddy's class, although she is a hard grader. She is very insightful and an interesting teacher. She did not give much extra credit, so it is difficult to make an A, so you must be a good writer to obtain an A in her class.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed learning about my personal writing style and also how to improve my writing. She gives great advice and knows all of her students personally!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention, never skip class, and DEFINITELY email her your essays before they are due so she can proofread them and make suggestions!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend taking this course. I learned to strengthen my writing, and I realized that my worst papers came from doubting my writing. When I became more comfortable with my writing, my papers began to flourish.

    Course highlights:

I learned that the professor isn't the only one that can help you with your writing. Professor Arras relied heavily on peer evaluation, and it truly helped. Although it sounds backwards, I loved when my peers basically hated everything about my paper. I loved seeing my classmates write all over my paper because it helped me see my weak points of my work, and write a much stronger essay.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class, one should merely read the text assigned and keep up with writing. Slacking on writing and not putting the time needed into your work will be reflected on your grade.
