    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is very interesting, but the content is overly hard for an introduction to music course. This particular teacher is new and is learning along with us so hopefully his future classes aren't as ridiculous as this one. Everyone failed his first test.

    Course highlights:

I did gain a better understanding of many different eras of classical music, and I learned "Concert Ettiquette". I learned more about different cultures and that was fun.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you think you're going to fly through this course no problem just because you have experience playing an instrument, you are completely wrong.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The class was your basic information about musical styles & periods. It required paying for & attending several classical concerts throughout the semester.

    Course highlights:

I learned a great deal of information about the various musical time periods, including important composers & the pieces they wrote.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and attend the concerts!
