Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Keegan is an engaging, active, passionate individual. He has a comfortable way of bringing dry information to life in a way that eases anxiety related to public speaking. He asks of his students that they respect the presence of anxiety in others, and in so, creates a comfortable learning experience.

    Course highlights:

Keegan does impromptu speeches throughout the class that initially challenge the students to step outside of their comfort zones. You can visibly see improvement in confidence throughout the semester, as practice makes the process less anxiety inducing.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Everyone needs to take a COM111 class. Take it from someone like Keegan, who provides a non-judgemental environment, with excellent feedback and realistic expectations.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As a graduate instructor, it was always plainly evident just how much passion Ms. Holly had for the subject. She was always upbeat and positive. Public speaking can be a difficult class for some, but when an instructor has a positive outlook, and cares for their students, it makes that little difference that counts.

    Course highlights:

Going in-depth on the different mechanics of speech writing, and the types of speeches nested under each category of speech was pretty interesting.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Always practice BEFORE speech day, and don't use your outline as a means of writing out the speech.
