    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Olbu does a good job of going through the lectures at a reasonable pace, and he also does a good job explaining the material.

    Course highlights:

Well the course isn't over yet, and I haven't learned anything new because I have seen most of the material before.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you're ready to work hard.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For those looking to become chemistry, biochemistry, or other hard science related majors, including pre-med, this class is essential. However, if chemistry isn't your strong suit and you only need a general education science, I very strongly would recommend you take a different class. It is extremely vigorous course work with difficult tests and a very quick pace.

    Course highlights:

This course introduces you to the essential building blocks for every other chemistry based class in the school with the exception of just a few. It teaches you pretty much everything you need to know to do basic college chemistry and therefore to continue on in the field.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do your homework before class so you now how to do the work on the quizzes. Workshops are definitely important to attend, as that's where you'll be able to get more personalized instruction and help with the concepts you don't understand. And don't be deterred by low grades, especially on the first test. Low grades are normal, and as long as you study and do the labs and homework, you can still pass the class.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is by far one of the hardest courses I have taken. It requires a lot of hard work and is not for the faint of heart. You will have to put your all into this class if you want to succeed.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much from this course about principles of general chemistry but I taught myself.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study every night. Do the hardest practice problems over and over and understand them. Do all the practice problems and study previous tests.
