    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As a Sociology major, I would recommend this course as it helped understand how all the information from other course and future courses was found. Knowing exactly what researchers had to do to gather the information made me have a deeper appreciation for their work. Also, Instructor Rosen was an amazing professor. She set high expectations, but always made me feel great when those expectations were met.

    Course highlights:

Throughout the course I learned many things about how information is gathered and used to make policies. There was one assignment that went into detail of a researcher completing an immersion study that was very intriguing. Although the research did not reveal what was to come of the study, reading what she went through to get all of the information was incredible!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always review every assignment the first week! Knowing what is going to come up each week is very important. There was a paper due week 3 that I wish I could have seen on week 2. Be sure to use references on the discussion boards as well. Most of all, never be afraid to ask your professor for help if you are confused by some of the class material. Most professors absolutely love to engage in conversation to help you gain knowledge!
