    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is so interesting and is taught very well. It is a prerequisite for other courses, but I would even recommend it as a class to take for fun. There is so much applicability of the material in this course that it really could be useful to a variety of science and engineering majors.

    Course highlights:

This class covered a lot of material including the identification and characterization of soil and its properties. Additionally, we learned how large of an impact soil systems make in the world. Before this class I had no idea how important and connected they really are to our economy, infrastructure, and other areas of day to day life. Also, a fun element to this course are the field trips we take all over Bozeman for lab.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you put in the effort to do well in this course, it really isn't too hard. There is a lot of extra credit offered that you should definitely take advantage of! Dr. Tony Harshorn is a really fabulous professor and even though there is potential for this class to be hard, his passion for teaching really makes all the difference.
