    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would only recommend this class if you don't have a heavy course load. You should be able to dedicate at least two hours a week to this class.

    Course highlights:

This course examines the historical context and religious teachings of the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures. We developed an understanding of the historical context in which the Bible was written.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to others because I grew exponentially in my understanding of the Bible as a historical and spiritual text. I learned about many different perspectives my peers and other individuals across history have had about the Bible and about God that I had never thought of before. It was refreshing to gain a greater understanding of the course of the Bible, the many authors it has, and the many years it spans. I thoroughly enjoyed picking up on the many patterns in the text as well. Learning more about God's Word increased my awe of God Himself.

    Course highlights:

There were many highlights I often think back to from this course, such as the themes of each book and how each passage in the Bible carries with it so much information and weight. Seeing how the books in the Old Testament paved the way for the New Testament and the New Covenant was breathtaking. I also enjoyed exploring media from today and connecting it with Biblical themes we had discussed in class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to read a great deal in the Old Testament and the New Testament. Also be prepared to come to class and share any questions you may have had or insights you wish to discuss with your professor and peers. The more you apply yourself, the more you will get out of this course.
