    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I did enjoy the concepts that were taught to me in this class. I had the advantage of it being closely related to my intended major though. The basic biology concepts that are covered in this class should be a common knowledge base for students, and luckily for them it is a general course. A word of fair warning: science is tedious and the labs are long. I do believe the curriculum was toned down, and it could have been harder.

    Course highlights:

Basic biological concepts including the basic building blocks of life, the cell and it's organelles and related functions, the requirements for life, and even concepts in ecology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As with all classes study! It's important to study and keep up with the material otherwise the tests will make you sink. The other important factor in succeeding in this class is to be sure you do your lab work. The lab work does not lend itself to a neat timetable, so be sure if you need to record data that you make time to record data. If you have no data, you will not be able to write or present anything!
