Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class teaches the eye opening truth about obesity in America. We watch videos and read articles then come to class and draw mind maps about the information we learned in groups. This class helped me to truly understand many of the misconceptions regarding obesity and health.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the rise of Obesity in America. With this also came the knowledge of all of the side effects and health risks that obesity causes. Towards the middle of the semester we learned about the corruption in the food industry and how it impacts school lunch programs, which then in turn impacts students and their eating habits and overall health. Later on in the class we discovered ways that we can make a difference in the obesity crisis.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Bring an open mind to class. The information is actually pretty interesting and relateable to everyone's life. You may even make some changes in your own lifestyle after taking this class.
