Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Blanco is great at coaxing responses from the group. There is work due at least once a week, but we have always gone over anything we need during the class before.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to integrate the faith into my life. I have a Christian perspective, but I never thought that treating someone else in a sport as the opposition was possibly against that very same worldview.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the annotations well in advance. It makes it much easier to stay at the one assignment per week rate.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is a rather easy class, but provides a huge opportunity for discussions about controversial topics. This class prepares out for standing up for what you actually believe after college, instead of being misinformed.

    Course highlights:

Professor Sommerfeld always told us stories about his personal life, and how he experienced the situations we discussed in class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be willing to discuss everything with an open mind. Harsh arguments do not provide near the learning experience as healthy discussions.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

All of the professors at CUNE are in the mindset that students are what really matter, not grades. Professor Sommerfeld learned about each one of his students, and helped us wrestle with controversial topics in a Christ-centered way.

    Course highlights:

There are no tests, just essays that allow each student to say exactly what they think. While it's sometimes intimidating to speak in front of a class, Sommerfeld created a welcoming environment that allowed everyone to feel comfortable in their opinions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Open your mind to consider a topic in a way you may never have before. Offensive arguments only prevent learning, but healthy discussions are one of the bets ways to comprehend and grow in an academic setting.
