    Course Overview:

    This is an effective course that provides exposure to different styles of writing so as to recognize the author's purpose for writing the piece.

    Course highlights:

    Learning how to write in different styles for specific audiences was definitely the highlight of this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    I recommend practicing writing in the style that you are learning at the time as often as possible. This will help improve proficiency and overall comprehension.

    Stay focused and on task and you'll do great! Professor Douglas does a good job explaining material and giving time to complete assignments.

    Course highlights:

    Lots of new writing styles to learn! Ask questions and always submit your rough draft so that you can get feedback.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Stay on top of your assignments. It can be easy to get behind because the class moves fast, but being organized helps.
