Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It’s a great intro course, especially with all the star parties Professor Bakos hosts, but it’s not all star gazing and learning constellations. It helps if you’ve already taken physics or are taking physics at the same time.

    Course highlights:

Now I can impress friends and family by pointing out constellations (during the fall and winter) and explaining how I don’t know the other two seasons because the earth moves. Star parties were also great, either at night or the sunrise ones, they were great times to talk to other students and eat chocolate-covered coffee beans

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely go to office hours! P-sets are a little difficult and the TAs are awesome help, which will ultimately help on the midterm and final. Also, don’t slack on the blogs and observing, it ends up being a pretty large chunk of your grade in the end.
