Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Ruskamp provides students with many diverse situations that may occur in the educational work field. She also teaching the importance of classroom ethics. I still carry her advice and skills with me as I currently teach in my own classroom.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights from this course was watching "Harry Wong," videos. Dr. Ruskamp emphasized the importance of the first day of school and how your classroom management style will depend on how the rest of your year goes. The "Harry Wong," videos provide insight on how to set up you classroom and appropriate dialogue to use with your students. The videos provide a humorous insight, but they are also very true scenarios.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure for this class you are prepared. It is a lot of discussion and requires engagement and insight from each students perspective. Anything that Dr. Ruskamp says you must write it down as it is very important for her assessments. Any material that she gives you in a hard copy you need to save. She will always reference the items she passes out in class.
