    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very difficult class that stretches your brain to its limits. Combining concepts about the intricacies and combining them with learning the specific structures of multiple amino acids is no easy task.

    Course highlights:

The daily challenges and labs were the highlights of this course. Lab was always fun, combining procedures from previous science courses to complete a very complicated task. Every day in class presented challenges as we learned something new every period!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard and always read the book. Not only read the chapter while going through the topic, but read it before class and after class as well! Talk to the teacher about any questions and advice that he has for the class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it is very collaborative combining concepts from both biology and chemistry. This science class is very applicable and while difficult, is not as confusing as organic or general chemistry.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about what goes on in our bodies concerning lipids, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, and amino acids. The highlights of this course were the clinical applications. Going into the medical field, it is important to learn the effects of a mutation, excess, or lack of materials in the body instead of learning what these materials do without any context.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book multiple times. I would read the chapter before class, while going over the chapter, and before a test. Make questions while reading the chapter and ask your teacher or classmates these questions. Study by yourself first and try to understand everything that you can and then meet up with classmates for group studying.
