Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Borchard was meant to teach. He explains everything in class so well and makes learning the material enjoyable. The coursework is not too bad and I feel that his tests fairly gauge the knowledge we have learned over the respective chapters.

    Course highlights:

Whenever you hear that the professor has written a book and requires you to read it, you think the worst and assume the book will be terrible and the professor will think it's awesome. However, the book Dr. Borchard wrote about homelessness in Las Vegas is informative and easy to read. He fully encaptures the persona of each character he came across and makes the book enjoyable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapter before you come to class. Many of the questions included in his pop quizzes come from the assigned reading before it is discussed in class. It also never hurts to ask questions or participate in class to get noticed by the professor.
