Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is amazing! He's incredibly passionate about the subject and makes learning the material a breeze. The material itself is also INCREDIBLY relevant in today's society and will have you looking at the world through a more critical lens.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about envisioning more than the world I grew up in. I also discovered how easy it is to research a topic and found myself not dreading the 930 wake up time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Use the online textbook. It's so easy to use and will improve your grade greatly. And do the extra credit. Even if you have to just guess, you gain so many points that it doesn't really matter.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It expanded my mind and helped me think of things in a sociological perspective. The professor is the best teacher I've ever had, taught me a lot about my self and society. I wish all teachers took this approach.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning about how society works together. The professor really related to his students and tried connecting to things we liked. My favorite part of the course was learning the difference between race and ethnicity and the fact that people have the choice to claim whatever they want.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There was a lot of reading in this course, but it is doable so do not let that take away from the course. Going to class is probably the most important thing and what is going to help you be successful in the course. As long as you study and pay attention you will pass with flying colors.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's very informative, ties in common sense with sociology and challenges you to use the information you learn and apply it to our everyday society. Make sure you read the online book and take the quizzes ahead of time! Also, ask question if you have trouble. Professor McQuillan is very enthusiastic about sociology and would be happy to help you.

    Course highlights:

It is an intro class, so basically you go over all the main branches on sociology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the Revel stuff as early as possible, there will be something new every week, so keep checking it! Also read your book and highlight stuff that helps you, the textbook isn't too hard to understand. Always take extra credit when it is offered, because there won't be many opportunities!
