Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although slightly challenging, this course was valuable and intriguing. It was the kind of course that was a lot of work, but I did not mind doing it, because the content was so interesting. If you read the book, do the quizzes and take notes in class, you should be fine.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about how to be a better studier and test taker throughout this course. The professor was very good at outlining exactly what was expected of us and she explained concepts in a manageable way while relating them to life events, media or television that we would know.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book and pay attention to what she says in class. The learning curve quizzes and practice tests are very, very helpful, do them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took PSYC 181H, the honors section of the course, and enjoyed it. This is a good introductory level class to get a broad overview of the study of psychology. I learned a lot and the material was interesting, but it's definitely not an easy A -- Dr. BK doesn't offer any extra credit so I would suggest completing all of the homework assignments and going to class to get as many participation points as possible!

    Course highlights:

The recitations were my favorite part of the course. We spent most recitations watching videos and completing fun activities. Dr. BK does a good job of engaging students even in a large lecture class. The class provided a general overview of the psychology, including history of the field, mental disorders, and psychological therapy.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of the homework assignments!! These end up being a huge part of your grade in the end. They only take a few minutes to complete, but they are easy to forget about if you do not complete them regularly. I would also suggest reading the chapters in the text book as you go through the units. Dr. BK draws a lot of her test questions from the textbook so be prepared for those!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

i would recommend this class because it is very informative but a lot of work. so if you do take it which you would have to for a psych major, just make sure you do your work on time and do it well.

    Course highlights:

Sleeping, Sensation/Perception, diseases, behavior, cognitive processes

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDy, STUDY, STUDY. make sure to take time to really review notes and to take good notes as well. Also pay attention in lecture as that is what test information is based off of.
