Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This course covers a lot on racial and ethnic issues and it is very eye opening. Learning about the history behind oppression and how that can translate into the type of oppression we see today helped me understand why movements like Black Lives Matter came about. Overall, even though there is a lot of reading to do for the course, I would recommend taking it if you are interested in being exposed to the issues facing minorities and how we can combat those issues.
This course taught me about the history of racism and how race is a social construct created my man. With this in mind, it was really interesting to learn about all the issues that have come out of this man made construct. The highlights of this course were definitely the group discussion that we had at the beginning of the semester. Those discussions really brought a lot of attention to challenges facing different ethnic groups and how the individuals in our class felt about certain issues.

Advice for students:
I would just say make sure you do the readings. The reading covers a lot of topics and concepts that you need to know in order to complete assignments and the final project in the class. Also, do not wait to start on 10 point assignments. Some of them take awhile to finish, so do not procrastinate and wait until the night before to complete them.
