This class was tough.
Professor often seems scatterbrained when teaching, so try to create a study group with friends to bounce ideas off of when his teaching becomes unclear. Come to class with questions and ask at the beginning or you will never get them answered. Also, not the best planned in terms of schedule. Went slowly for first 2 months, then seemed to run out of time and was rushed through learning until the end of the year when we had 3 classes with nothing to do and too much confusion to even ask helpful questions for the final.
Fun material, especially the first half if you are an actuarial science major.

Advice for students:
Do the homework! Huge portion of grade. Tests are way easier than practice problems. If practice problems are stressing you out and making you more confused, don't do them. I am a strong believer in doing practice problems until you get it, but when they asked questions about distributions we hadn't learned, it caused too much stress and confusion to waste time on it.
