This class was tough.
The professor is very well educated on this subject, but one can also see how much he enjoys both learning more about and teaching others on the material. His lectures can be lengthy and dull at times, but he teaches his classes with much enthusiasm and desire for the material.
I have learned much about human and animal genetics, to which I can apply in my own plans for the future. The professor has taken the basic concepts of the material and extended them to reach from every use of the field. I have been able to study how certain factors of a disease are passed on from parent to offspring, to which I can make a better understanding of the disease process itself.

Advice for students:
Even though the professor does not take attendance, I would highly encourage you to attend the lectures. It can be easy to fall behind because the professor covers a lot of material very quickly. You should also resort to your classmates for help, such as forming study groups, to make sure you understand the material and see how other people are interpreting the information given from the lectures.
