Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This course may be required for a lot of majors but it was honestly the professor that made it so fun! She's very upbeat and outgoing which was perfect for early on a Wednesday morning! It was a hybrid class so you didn't have to go to campus 3 days a week - and instead, only one. It was just the right amount of workload yet still challenging so you didn't get bored with the class!
Going into the class I thought I was a pretty good writer and that writing for me wasn't very hard. On the very first day I remember she said, "Writing is hard. It takes time and effort, and if you disagree then your writing probably isn't as good as you think it is." My writing skills improved so much and I was really able to dig down deep to find the true analysis thesis for each paper. Taking Comp 1 with Kim has made my Comp 2 experience so much easier!

Advice for students:
Since it is a hybrid class and you only meet once a week, make sure you stay motivated and organized to know when to turn things in online. My class met on Wednesdays yet she would still have assignments due on Sundays and Fridays at midnight as well. She likes to give a lot of busy work but none of its too difficult, mostly just time consuming. Also, make sure you create some sort of connection with her in class, she will love you and be a little more accepting if some of your items are late at the beggining of the course! Also ALWAYS show up to class - since it only meets once a week, if you skip 3 in person classes it results in a fail for the course!
