Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a general education course that everyone must take in order to graduate. Ms. Burch tries to make a class- terrifying for many- enjoyable as possible. This course is good for beginners and it helps conquer speech anxiety, at least it has for me a little bit!

    Course highlights:

I think the highlights were the speech topics that we are able to choose from! You have quite a lot of say in what you want to talk about, the only thing assigned is the type of speech ( persuasive, informative, etc.). I learned to not be as nervous and anxious right before a speech and really realize that everyone is just as scared as you but if you practice a lot, you wont be as nervous!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate in practicing, doing research, and PRACTICING a lot for your speeches. I learned the hard way that trying to give a speech you didn't practice a lot made the speech delivery very scary and i got very flustered in front of everyone! Practice while standing up like you would in front of an audience.
