    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend biology as a basic necessity class. It's important to know the basic of how the body and cells work and Dr. Loggins is exceptional at helping students understand what they don't understand and always invites questions.

    Course highlights:

This course mainly uses Dr. Loggin's personally made slides and the book is a reference point in many tests. The labs are fun and usually don't take as long a scheduled for. I learned you have to work hard for your grade and study more than you would usually in high school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

As a student in this class, make sure you go over the material EVERYDAY! By refreshing your brain of the material everyday, the tests will be so much easier.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to first time freshmen if they are serious about science classes and can learn from study guides.

    Course highlights:

Some of the best highlights of this course was doing a bug sweep through the tall grass on campus and then examining the bugs. Another highlight would be the Genetics lab where you look at organisms under a microscope and study them. You draw the organisms, measure the organisms and guess the environment they come from. Another good highlight from this course would be the planetarium show. For extra credit you can go watch the planitarium show on Charles Darwin and the natural selection under a dome.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course seriously, show up to every class, actually take time to study your study guides, go to every single lab and do your best work.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a little challenging, but it really helped me develop good study habits which allowed me to be more successful in other classes including this one.

    Course highlights:

I learned many new processes and concepts of biology in this course. I would say my favorite thing I learned about was genetics and punnet squares, being able to predict the outcome of offspring is very interesting to me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to always read the chapters you are assigned and make sure you are familiar with the material covered before you attend class. The concepts are tougher to understand, so if you put in a little extra work then it will be easier to understand after you go over it in class.
