    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The excitement of learning a language that is spoken widely throughout the city where I reside is unsurpassed!

    Course highlights:

I haven't actually taken this course yet, I shall in the fall, but I know it will enlighten my world. And to be able to begin communicating with the many Spanish speaking individuals in my city, Las Vegas will provide a link to those that I long to share thoughts and opinions. I'm looking forward to this opportunity with zeal!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Repetition, study groups, tutoring if need be. Any tools that you find work for you. In past studies for two separate associate's degrees, I implemented the above, and found that index cards with condensing notes written in outline form that I could flip and memorize worked very well for me. I shall do the same this time. Highlighting passages in textbooks also helped in my studies.

    Hours per week:

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course, taken online, further helped me, a moderate Spanish speaker, in understanding the more difficult aspects of the Spanish language.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to better enunciate Spanish words and how to distinguish masculine from feminine from neutral. I learned how to have a full conversation in Spanish without going too fast.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with all the coursework online, and DO NOT use your textbook or notes for each test, as the final exam is taken in-person and doesn't allow open-book or notes in the testing area.
