    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Merkler is a wonderful professor that seems to genuinely love Biology. She explains everything wonderfully and will take time to answer questions. The only thing is the exams are hard.

    Course highlights:

In this class, I gained a lot of information regarding the basics of biology. My favorite topic would have to be the transcription and translation of DNA.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to attend every lecture and study very hard before the tests!

    Course Overview:

I woudl recommend this course becaszue you get a better understanding of how magnifacent and comlex the human body, going as small as a cell and atom.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning about the structure and the performance of the cell, only that but how everything in the human body is designed so perfectly so everything can function correctly.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give is to focus on your work, read the book and pay attention to the lecture. Also, try to relate topics to everyday life, this way you can get a better understanding and itll stick with you.

    Course Overview:

This course provides a great introduction to chemistry, DNA, and molecular study.

I learned about atoms and how they bond with each other. I also learned about genes and DNA, all things beneficial to prepare you for Biology 223 and 224 and Microbiology.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Just do it. Mkae sure to chow up to class and pay attention. Read before going to class so that the information you did not understand well in the text can be better understood during lecture. Doing the work BEFORE class really helps you to retain the information better.
