First history course experienced in college and was enlightened by her. She went down the timeline through 1872 to what I believe 1920, thoroughly. She strived to challenge all of her students and helped those who were struggling.
We not only learned American history, but also went more in-depth on how America has history. Meaning, other world history and the people that basically created America and it's history.

Advice for students:
Study and memorize key concepts and events. Each concept taught, ties in with many other concepts. Keep the cause and effect idea in mind and who did what and why. History then does change, so memorize everything, believe me, the skill that I took from my high school teacher, Mr. Smith's class.
