    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this specific teacher because of the way she teaches and gives exams! She gives you one exam each week on only One chapter! I received an A- in this class and that is very difficult usually, but with being able to read one chapter and focus on that chapter, makes a world of difference on memorization!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the cadaver lab. You are able to physically touch and see in front of you body organs and disease. Seeing how cancer effects a lung in it's physical state in front of you is different than reading about it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book! Do the end of chapter reviews in the book! Show up to every class and lab, do not miss lectures!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I love Dr. Duong and his teaching style. His class is very tough but in a simplistic way. He does not assign any projects or papers. He focuses on teaching you the exam material and that is it. He gives daily quizzes, which scared me at first, but then I learned to appreciate them. Expecting a quiz every day forced me to keep up with my studying.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much in this class. I could go on and on about all the different organs and diseases but I think the most important skill I learned is how to study and pass exams. Dr. Duong's class helped me become a better student. His exams were difficult and required many hours of studying but I believe they will help me become a better nurse in the future.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't miss class, take good notes, ask questions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Duong is my favorite professor. He is sugar, spice, and everything else twice. His lectures aren't by the book. He does uses power points for a visual aid, other than that Dr. Duong knows his stuff. The work load is a lot; do not be afraid. Everything is repetitious so it is easy for the material to sink into your brain. Some people may not like this but he uses the iClicker for all his quizzes and exams.

    Course highlights:

I actually learned a so much of his class. I can recall all of the concepts we covered in class. He does not want you to learn to get the grade. He wants you to learn to understand.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take advantage of guided notes, quizzes and lecture videos he provides for you. Reading ahead is a must!
