    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is very thorough. The tests are not easy, but if you want to learn something beyond just taking in information and dumping that onto a test take Dr. Patel. You will enjoy the way he teaches because he helps you understand the "why" and not just because it is what it is.

    Course highlights:

You will learn how your body functions through the propagation of action potential. Understanding this will help you learn how our body sends signals from sensory to nervous to motor circuits in the body. This includes learning about the ins and outs of how the muscles contract

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Memorization doesn't work. Flashcards will not be your primary way to study, if you do use flashcards. You have to understand the concepts of how things happen and why. In order to get a good grade, you have to put in the time to study and rehearse. Expecting to do well on a test by just sitting in lecture will set you up for failure. Attendance is also a must since the professor will have quizzes at the beginning of class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is tough because it is very fast paced but Dr. Duong is an amazing professor who is excellent at lecturing and very organized in his assignments and overall syllabus.

    Course highlights:

You will learn the general anatomy and physiology of tissues and systems of the body. The class focuses on bones, muscles, and the brain. The second part of the class is mostly on the nervous system.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study every day. Take notes on the lecture and read the textbook according to what Dr. Duong covers. Take all of his practice quizzes provided on Canvas because his quizzes are similar to them.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because although it was tough you learn a lot. I found it to be very interesting. There is usually a lab with this class and it was very hands on. I believe that lab is only once a week.

    Course highlights:

By taking this class I learned more about how our body works together to allow is to function the way we do. I learned that we should probably be taking care of our health more than we do.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

when taking this course you need to be ready to do alto of reading and studying. Depending on the teacher you can get quizzes and a lot of homework. I remember using flash cards on certain material that i had to learn and that helped me a lot
