Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although I am not an arts major, I highly recommend this course. Not only did I learn a ton about art and its creators, I found new love for it that I didn't know I had. I ended up getting an A in the course and even a year later can remember a great deal of the information.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part about this course was the way it was taught. While you are still expected to know the artist names and understand what movement they relate too, the smaller harder to remember details like exact dates are not as highly focused on. This made it so you could focus more on the art itself and get a better general understanding which I think is necessary in a entry level course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course can be one of the easiest you'll ever take if you allow yourself to soak in the information and not just try to remember the facts. If you can relate a paining to your personal life it will help you remember it without even trying. Also don't miss class. He doesn't use a book so everything you learn you learn in lecture.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved the fact that it was online, the subject matter was interesting, and I loved the assignments included in the course. You had to pick a piece of art and describe the style, color, and other techniques used in the painting.

    Course highlights:

I learned in this course the different techniques used to create depth, illusions, contouring, coloring, and basically every basic art technique used since the dawning of art. Also, I learned to really appreciate paintings and art concepts more.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You must read the chapters assigned. Duh. If you do that then you'll be just fine. That and, obviously, do the assignments given.
