    | Would not recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor is knowledgeable in biology, but his exams are very confusing. He asks a lot of questions that require you to think in "what would you do" terms. He also is very hard to approach with questions and has an I don't care about my students attitude.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to understand things on my own. I recorded all of the professors lectures, I listened carefully to what he was saying and made study guides based on that. I loved learning about the steps in glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, citric acid cycle, and the electron transport chain. He also taught in depth about genetics which I found fascinating!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Skip class, you won't pass. You need to study at least 12 hours a week. I recommend studying 1 hour a day, either reviewing what you learned or reading ahead. It helps, so you don't have to cram study.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is tough. It requires you to spend a lot of time on it. I would recommend it if it is a required course for you to take.

    Course highlights:

Professor Regner has great lectures, they are a bit long but you learn a lot from him. I learned about the foundations of life from dna how it creates your body to the functioning of a human being. The concepts themselves are very interesting and engaging.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention! Takes notes. Read the book and review. Keep reviewing so that you retain all information by the time of the exam. It is important you keep up with this course.
