    This class was tough.

The teacher is fair and efficient, he teaches well and assigns effective homework, but slack off for a second and your grade will plummet.

    Course highlights:

Blanton gave me a new love for math.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is manageable. Professor Bornholdt is very understanding and cares about the students learning the material. He will take the time to make sure each and every student understands the material and is not left behind. He truly cares and is passionate about what he does.

    Course highlights:

I have definitely learned a lot through this class. We had online homework to practice our skills. We took a quiz for each section to see what we knew. As long as you listened in class and tried on the homework, you were sure to learn something from each chapter.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do the homework and section quizzes. This helps indicate what sections you should spend more time learning. The final was hard, but the department gives you practice problems that are similar to the exam. Overall, if you do the work, you should get the grade you want.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course, but it is not for everyone. George teaches using a method I had never been introduced to before this class. He uses a method called the "flipped classroom". In this format, he records YouTube videos and the night or few nights before class you watch them and do as much of the homework as you can, then the day of class you go over any problems you had trouble with. He also prepares you very well for tests.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I learned a few things. First and foremost, you have to do the homework in order to learn something and pass the class. He also taught me a lot in the actual subject of math (which is important) and he taught me to look at things in a different way!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take this class if you're not willing to put in the work. Also, be open minded to this new method, as it could prove to be very beneficial. The teacher is very willing to work with you and he's also got a great sense of humor, which really makes a difference in my opinion.
