Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It gives you a basic understanding of food sanitation and food practices.

    Course highlights:

I learned at what temperature food should be held at or cook to in order to be safe for consumption. I learned that it is very easy to cause food borne illness if you do not maintain proper hygiene and abuse time and temperature control.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the chapters and attend lecture. Taking online quizzes will definitely help pass the course.

With this class though, I learned that there was nothing valuable to take from it. I do not discontinue, being a hospitality major, that knowing food safety is important, but the point of this class was to obtain a Health Card and over half my class did not even receive the chance to do so.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you do take it, just know that it is completely up to you to succeed. I can not speak for the other professor that taught this course, but the one I had I would not take again. About half my class had dropped the course before we even took the fi
