    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Professor Shiue is very passionate and knowledgeable in abstract algebra and he is one of the best in the field. He is very engaging and knows how to explain the concepts well.

    Course highlights:

    I learned some of the key concepts of abstract algebra such as sets, functions, groups, quotient groups, homomorphism theorems, Abelian groups, rings, polynomial rings, division rings, Euclidean domains, fields and vector spaces. Groups were applied throughout the whole semester.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Read the material before class. Start working on the homework days before it's due.
