Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Villa is an amazing instructor who's very open. The way she teaches her course gets everyone involved and helps everyone understand and get to know each other.

    Course highlights:

I learned how strong willpower is when you really focus on it in itself. It's your drive, your determination to get what you want. The highlight of the course was presentations about who we are.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be open, speak your perspective. No one in the class judges you because your different. We all learn something new in that course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A first year seminar course is required of you at UNLV, so I did not think much about the impact of this course initially until the class actually began. This course turned out to be one of my FAVORITE college courses thus far. I could not have had a better Professor than Dr. Padoongpatt. He really helped me to look at things in a whole new way and taught us so much more than just first year college skills. Highly recommended to all, especially if you are a Liberal Arts Major.

    Course highlights:

I gained a new outlook on everything! We were able to analyze what is going on around us in the world today and recognize how events of the past contributed to the chaos we have now. We weren't lectured over textbook nonsense, but were enlightened by the knowledge shared with us. I loved that the floor was always open to the students so that we could voice our opinions and questions freely with no judgement almost like a safe zone.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this class, don't hesitate. It's hard to explain, but this course is absolutely worth it.
