    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Utz is an excellent instructor. She brings the information to life and makes it interesting.

    Course highlights:

This course gives you general knowledge of how the body is structured and how it functions. I learned the main nerves in the brain and their functions, the detailed work that goes into how our muscles contract, various tissues and cells that our body is made up of, and of course the main muscles and all the bones in the body

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to always show up to class. You will get extra credit for just showing up. Record the lectures (if you are an auditory learner), review the power points before the next class and make sure you go to her office to ask questions. Mastering A&P is an awesome tool to use for studying. There is a study guide in Mastering (next to the etext tab) it gives more practice material that I did not find until after the semester. She will give you study guides as well. Good luck to you, you can do it!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is excellent if you are interested in pursuing a career in the medical field or if you are simply more interesting in learning more about the human body.

    Course highlights:

Through this course I gained knowledge on the body systems and how they work together. I learned about the muscles and the bones as well as so much more.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course you must spend an immense time studying and preparing with the material given to you. You also must attend all classes. The models in the library also prove useful, as do notecards and study groups.
