    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is a great class! The instructor Lee Misch is very kind and provides you with all the information needed to not just pass this class but to ace it. In the class you go over the basics of computer science and programming in C++. The instructor also give homework that are real life problems in computer science. Also very fun and enjoyable in class!

    Course highlights:

The basics of programming and computer science. You also learn the skill of solving given real world problems in a procedural manner. The skills you learn in this class will make the rest of the courses in computer science so much easier.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't underestimate the programming assignments. Maybe the exercises are okay to put off for a few days, but the assignment programs definitely need a week on work.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommending taking at least one coding class in anyone's college career. C++ is a helpful class in learning one language and being able to start actively applying problem solving in situations. It does start off incredibly easy, but learning C++ does suddenly jump rhythms and kicks into maximum overdrive mercilessly. It's fun, but also very much time consuming.

    Course highlights:

This course taught us how to start coding in C++, which is a high level language that allows us to give commands to the computer and tell it how to execute the commands. From printing receipts to looping through company employees and their information, C++ has proved to be incredibly helpful in day to day.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Always check your code to the last detail. The smallest, simplest mistakes might give you the craziest error messages in the existence of anything ever. I spent the most time trying to find these incredibly small mistakes that led to program errors, but just be attentive to what you're coding and everything will be a breeze.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

To quote Steve Jobs: “Everybody in this country should learn to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think”

    Course highlights:

CS 135 gives a general foundation of how to make simple programs.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The important thing is not knowing specific terms or vocabulary or important names. It's about knowing how to create the program itself.
