Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. V was always so excited about teaching the material so I always felt that the class interesting due his enthusiasm. Not too much work in this class.

    Course highlights:

I remember the first day of class he brought in a real bat. He studies bats and is known as Batman. Haha.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to take your time and read the book to be prepared for the quizzes and the exams. The quizzes arn't so bad. The exams are a little trickier.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Piispanen is intelligent and challenging. However, she is willing to help anyone and is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She makes you want to strive to be better and challenge yourself.

    Course highlights:

Since viruses are her favorite subject, she does go into depth more in micro molecules. You learn of the different domains and classifications of the animal kingdom in deep detail.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up on the reading! Make flashcards and consistently look over your notes to refresh your mind of what you are going over. Make sure you are able to use the material you learn to think through problems and use them to logically come up with answers. The questions on the exams are not direct or simply definitions.
